Hello, hello! Thank you for visiting MOMumental Ideas. We are Carissa and Dani and we are excited you decided to check out our blog.

Carissa
I am Carissa! I am a mom, wife, have a full time job, and I am trying to navigate this crazy life one day at a time. I grew up in Georgia and still currently live in a town right outside of Atlanta! My hobbies include DIY Projects (my tool collection is growing), photography, eating good food, binging shows on Netflix, Amazon shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I am very much a “yes” person and love to try pretty much anything. I also have never met a stranger, and I am willing talk about pretty much ANYTHING.
I am definitely the mom who wants to keep it “real”. Do I love my children more than anything? YES! Do I also love myself, my hobbies, my career and my social life? YES! When Dani and I first brought up this blog, I really wanted it to be a place where I could write freely. Somewhere to not only talk about why we love our children, but also an honest forum about the struggles of motherhood, maintaining relationships, and taking care of yourself!
Dani and I complement each others personalities extremely well and we love good research on issues, products, health…you name it! At the end of the day, I hope our blog can be relatable, encourage moms to speak their truth, and be a place for tips and tricks that have made our lives much easier!
Dani
Hello there! My name is Dani, and I am a working mother of boy-girl twins in my 30s. I grew up in the Atlanta, GA area, where I still live today, but I’m originally from Ohio – Go Buckeyes! I enjoy coffee, The Office, and spending quality time with my family and friends. Becoming a mother has been the most rewarding and challenging experience of my life. Despite the craziness that comes with motherhood, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It isn’t easy, and most days it’s downright exhausting, but my kids mean everything to me, and I’d do anything for them.
Carissa and I have been friends since high school. We met while auditioning for colorguard and solidified our friendship by doing theatre together. We’ve shared many milestones over the years, from high school and college graduations to being roommates in our 20s, becoming dog moms, getting engaged and married, being coworkers, and now, motherhood!
We’ve always joked about doing something together, and we finally realized that “that thing” was right in front of us – screaming our names, pulling on our arms, and shouting “mommy” nonstop. This blog was born from a lighthearted conversation about creating a “straw lid for kids yogurt” (which someone else beat us to, by the way). As we delved deeper into the conversation, we realized we each had something unique to offer to the blog. My experience with twins and having a child with special needs has left me with a wealth of information that I want to share with you! I hope that our ideas, tips, and laughs will inspire you just as they have inspired us.

Life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother.
